Destination Baška
BAŠKA, a town and port on the south-eastern coast of the island of Krk, located in the northern part of Baska Draga; population 816. Fertile tracts of land in the Baska Draga valley, through which runs the Suha Ricina (Big Dry River) or Vela Rika (Big River), have enabled farming (wheat), fishing, viniculture, as well as making and selling of wine, which in turn, has given rise to maritime and shipbuilding industries. Next to the old, compact part of the town, a new part with tourist facilities has been built, making Baska a well-known tourist destination. The main road (M2) connects Baska to the town of Krk (19 km). Together with good connection with the mainland (the bridge), ferry lines connect Baska with the island of Rab and with Senj.

Neben dem alten, dicht bebauten Stadtteil wurde ein neuer mit Hotels und Pensionen errichtet. BaSka ist heute ein bekannter Ferienort. Außer der Brücke zum Festland ist BaSka durch Fährlinien auch mit der Insel Rab und dem Ort Senj verbunden.
BAŠKA, grad i luka na jugoistočnoj obali otoka Krka, smještena u sjevernom dijelu Baške drage; 816 stan. Plodne površine u dolini Baške drage, kojom protječe Suha ričina ili Vela rika, omogućile su stanovništvu bavljenje poljodjelstvom (žito), ribarstvom, vinogradarstvom, preradom i trgovinom vina, što je poticalo razvoj pomorstva i brodogradnju. Uz stari, zbijeni dio grada podignut je novi s turističkim objektima, pa je Baška danas poznato turističko središte. Magistralnom prometnicom (M2) povezana je s gradom Krkom (19 km). Uz dobru otočnu povezanost (most s kopnom), Baška je trajektnom linijom povezana s otokom Rabom i Senjom.
